My name is Katia Marten. I am the founder and president of KMA Design Group in Costa Rica and KMD Group in Canada. I have over 39 years of experience in the world of architecture and development, and I’m proud to be recognized as one of Costa Rica’s leading female architects.

  • Beyond my professional work, I am deeply committed to social causes. Together with my daughter Carolina, I co-founded the World Hug Group, and I support organizations such as Soy Niña, Boost (Canada), Little Warriors, and I am also co-founder of Fundación Gente. I’ve also contributed to pro bono projects like Virgen de los Ángeles and Casa de los Niños.

    At KMA Design Group, we design with an innovative mindset, always seeking real solutions to housing challenges—never settling for the status quo. Our designs are born out of respect for people and for nature.
